It is the annual trip to Las Vegas, Nevada for Team Crosslink as the Texas based program is set to contend at the 2020 ROK Cup USA ROK the RIO with a solid seven driver lineup. With on track action beginning on Wednesday, November 4th on the temporary circuit adjacent to the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, Team Crosslink will make the trek west and set their sights towards the top step of the ROK the RIO podium.
“Our full commitment is on this weekend,” explained Sean Owens. “We have won in local, regional and national level karting as well as in the F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda. The goal is simple this weekend, WIN, and we think we have the drivers to do it.”
United States Pro Kart Series X30 Pro Junior Champion Alex Stanfield will be the lone Junior ROK Crosslink driver as he looks to continue his winning ways in 2020 while Ryan Shehan will throw his hat in the mix in Senior ROK having just wrapped up a strong summer season that saw him in the top-ten of the talent filled senior ranks.
A pair of Master ROK competitors will look towards the front of the grid as Derek Wang and Miguel Mier will be a threat for the victory. With both drivers showing speed at several events across the country, they will provide a powerful one-two punch in the over thirty-two years of age category. Mier will look to win big in Las Vegas as he will also double down and race in the 100cc Masters category.
Reilly Cann will make another start in Las Vegas as he will compete in the 100cc Senior class as he will be joined by Paxton Dyson who will compete in the Micro ROK class. A late addition to the Team Crosslink program, Gage McNilis will join the Texas based squad as he enters the Mini ROK ranks in his quest for ROK the RIO glory in 2020.
With practice commencing on Wednesday and qualifying on Thursday, wheel-to-wheel heat races will go green on Friday and Saturday with main events on Sunday. Stay tuned to the Team Crosslink social media pages for news, information and photos from the event weekend.
